Da Li

I am an Associate Professor at Kunming University of Science and Technology. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Quantitative and Technical Economics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

My research is in macroeconomics, with work on trade and factor demand, housing and external balances, money and credit, exchange rates, and the macroeconomic risks of overseas projects.

About

After receiving my Ph.D., I served as a macro analyst at the research institute of a well-known securities firm, as partner and chief investment officer of a quantitative hedge fund, as chief executive officer of a fund, as general manager of the investor-relations department of a holding company, as head of investment and financing at an overseas second-tier subsidiary of a central state-owned enterprise, and as an investment manager in the investment center of an insurance company. I have been an Associate Professor in the School of Civil Engineering and Mechanics at Kunming University of Science and Technology since October 2014.

I am a Senior Economist. My academic and applied work connects macroeconomic theory with policy and with the practice of finance and overseas contracting.
